Insights & Buyback Index
Quarterly notes on the Reuse-First secondary market for enterprise IT — what AI hardware is doing, what banks are refreshing, what regulators are saying, what the embodied-carbon math looks like, where the export-control rules are moving. Four notes per year. No spam. Read by procurement teams in BFSI, hyperscale, regulated public sector, and sustainability-led enterprises across Singapore.
What the Insights publication covers
Each quarterly issue carries: (1) the Maxicom Buyback Index — reference pricing across server, storage, networking, GPU, CPU, memory categories, with quarter-over-quarter movement; (2) Regulatory Watch — what privacy and ITAD Singapore regulators have said this quarter; (3) AI Hardware Market Brief — H100/A100/MI300 pricing, supply, export-control updates; (4) BFSI Refresh Patterns — what we are seeing in bank refresh cadence; (5) Sustainability Brief — embodied-carbon math, CSRD/ISSB updates, sector benchmarks; (6) one feature analysis on a sector or technology of the quarter.
Who reads it
Procurement, sustainability, and compliance professionals across Singapore. BFSI procurement teams (anchor readership). Sovereign-wealth-fund operations. Hyperscale tenant procurement. Government IT modernisation programmes. Sustainability-led enterprise procurement. AI startup operations. Channel partners and consulting firms whose engagements have an ITAD tail.
The Buyback Index — methodology
Reference prices for the most-traded SKUs in each category (server: Dell PowerEdge R750 / R740, HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10/11; storage: NetApp AFF A400, Dell EMC PowerStore 5200T; GPU: NVIDIA H100 80GB SXM5, A100 80GB; etc.) computed weekly from active trader-channel pricing across all five operating regions. Quarterly publication averages the weekly figures with adjustment for seasonal patterns and one-off market events. Methodology document available on request to programme-level customers; broader publication in 2026 H2.
Regulator Watch — what we track
Singapore: PDPC enforcement actions, MAS TRM updates, NEA Resource Sustainability Act amendments, IMDA guidance, and Cybersecurity Act developments. Plus international frameworks we track: EU Right to Repair Directive, EU Ecodesign Regulation, EU Digital Product Passport, US BIS export-control updates, NIST 800-88 revision watch, and IEEE 2883 evolution.
Why we publish
The ITAD market in our regions is opaque — pricing is not published, refresh patterns are obscured by NDA, regulator updates often arrive without procurement-friendly explanation. The quarterly publication closes that gap for our customer base. Procurement teams use it for refresh-cycle planning; sustainability teams use it for ESG-report benchmarking; compliance teams use it for regulatory-currency confirmation.
Subscription model
